Black Bones: Shocking Imagery of Brutal Combat and Sadism

Black Bones: Shocking Imagery of Brutal Combat and Sadism

Black Bones is a 3-minute short film created by Rhett Dashwood for the band Teenagers in Tokyo, to accompany their song Black Bones.  It’s a very bizarre, but beautiful film that depicts a fight that becomes more and more dramatic, culminating in the torching of a car.  It’s a creepy short film that makes your skin crawl, with imagery that’s shocking, steeped in hyper-masculinity and sadism.  Similar to a documentary about a serial killer, Black Bones is hard to watch, but you just can’t look away.
