Once upon a time, I went to college. I had a brief—like, one semester, I think—stint doing work-study at the school’s radio station. I mainly did menial tasks—I usually didn’t deejay unless my non-boyfriend needed a substitute. I was, however, introduced to lots of indie and/or weird and/or cool music that I wouldn’t have been otherwise. One of my favorite finds was this version of “Suzy Snowflake” by Soul Coughing. I was randomly reminded of it tonight as I drove home from my parents’ house. It just kind of smells like snow and winter out there.
A YouTube search yielded this freaky animation of what is already kind of a surreal cover. It’s kinda fun. In lieu of actually blogging—’cause I’m tired and my friend Ashley is visiting me from Boston—I present you it. Enjoy!
