For those of you not sitting in a pew (or those who are, love those iPhones), I invite you to join me in channel surfing youtube. This particular Sunday morning brought about live videos of Death which lead me to the music video for “The Philosopher” off Individual Thought Patterns. In case you need any more coaxing to watch, just know that along with Chuck Schuldiner, this is the Death that also featured Gene Hoglan on drums and Steve DiGiorgio on bass. Plus, I think it’s fitting to have a band named Death and their song “The Philosopher” on Sunday, don’t you?
