I had a chance to catch The Walkmen last night when they played at the Mercy Lounge here in Nashville. Opener Here We Go Magic was a snore fest of psych-jam repetitiveness but The Walkmen put on a great show. They played several new songs that were slower but the “more traditional” new songs really rocked. Here is a video of one of the standouts from when they played in Cambridge, MA a few weeks ago.
